Term four teacher-only days

17 October, 2024

The fourth of four teacher-only days (TOD) provided for curriculum and assessment changes in 2023-2024 is scheduled to take place between 21 October and 15 November.

Schools and kura who have notified their community that they are participating in this curriculum and assessment teacher-only day can close for instruction and do not need to make up any half days.

  • Please note that schools and kura participating in structured literacy and Rangaranga Reo ā-Tā Professional Learning and Development (PLD) in Term 4 may choose to hold their TOD outside of this scheduled window.

To support the delivery of this TOD, the Ministry of Education has developed online resources to help you to get ready for the upcoming curriculum changes for both English-medium schools and settings where learning and teaching is through te reo Māori.
