One hour day – Resources for school leaders

    Planning and reflection tool

A screenshot of the planning and reflection tool.

The planning and reflection tool can be used during professional development and learning sessions to capture how reading, writing and maths is being deliberately planned for and taught. Schools are encouraged to revisit this tool throughout the year so teachers can regularly evaluate how they are engaging their students in activities that progress their students’ reading, writing and maths skills.

    Timetables examples

The example timetables are designed to provoke discussion and help schools consider how to structure learning, so it meets the needs of all learners within the hour a day requirement.
