Consultation open on second group of Years | Tau 11–13 curriculum subjects
10 June 2026
The National Curriculum, including the New Zealand Curriculum (NZC) and Te Marautanga o Aotearoa (TMoA) is being refreshed so that it is knowledge-rich, nationally consistent, and future-focused. It’s designed for Aotearoa, reflecting our bicultural heritage and preparing students to have agency over their life in a changing world.
Consultation on the NZC and TMoA subjects is taking place in three groups over three months.
The second group of subjects in the new Years | Tau 11–13 curriculum is now available for you to review and provide your feedback. This consultation round is open until 8 July 2026.
