Important update for E-Ako, E-Ako Pāngarau, PLD360 and Pathways Awarua
28 May 2026
Updated on 11 June to confirm that a decision has not been made regarding a replacement for Pathways Awarua.
From 30 June 2026, the Ministry of Education will no longer fund licenses for E-Ako, E-Ako Pāngarau, PLD 360 and Pathways Awarua.
This decision was made following a review of E-Ako, E-Ako Pāngarau and PLD 360 which confirmed that the content no longer aligns with the new National Curriculum. Pathways Awarua is part of this service contract.
We’ve been using these platforms for teaching and learning since 2012 and recognise the important role they have had in classrooms.
Teachers and kaiako may continue to access E-Ako, E-Ako Pāngarau, PLD360 and Pathways Awarua until the access expiry date on 30 June 2026.
