Updates to Tāhūrangi landing pages and curriculum content pages
18 July 2025
We’re making improvements to the New Zealand Curriculum and Te Marautanga o Aotearoa landing pages and refreshed curriculum content pages on Tāhūrangi, so they’re easier to access and use.
The new design builds on improvements we made last year and incorporates further user experience insights and focus group feedback we received from teachers and principals.
We’ve also taken inspiration from other jurisdictions that are presenting the curriculum well, including British Columbia, Australia and Singapore.
Here’s what we’re changing.
Changes to landing pages for NZC and Te Marautanga o Aotearoa
From 24 July, we’re making changes to the landing pages, top menu and navigation options for both the New Zealand Curriculum and Te Marautanga o Aotearoa. See images below for more details.

Changes to learning area and wāhanga ako content pages
From 30 July, learning area and wāhanga ako content for the Years 0 to 6 English and Te Reo Rangatira, and Years 0-8 maths and Pāngarau will be presented in new curriculum pages.
The new curriculum pages present progress outcomes and teaching sequences by phases in a streamlined format and connect content to accompanying resources and supports.
For all curriculum content, PDF versions will continue to be provided on Tāhūrangi as an alternative way to download and view information.
What is not changing
Please note that the Years 0 to 6 English and Te Reo Rangatira, and Years 0 to 8 maths and Pāngarau curriculum content has not changed – only the design has been updated.
We want to hear from you
We will be making further updates later this year and invite you to provide feedback about your experience, including what is working well. Send your feedback to [email protected]
